The Monongahela Rockhounds are a mineral, fossil, and lapidary club in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area.
We are part of the Eastern Federation of Mineralogical and Lapidary Societies (EFMLS) which is part of the American Federation of Mineralogical Societies (AFMS).
We have also now signed up for the Future Rockhounds of America program (FRA), created by the AFMS, to provide activities for young rockhounds. For more information about the FRA program, see: Kids FRA

Statement
To promote, among its members and the general public, an interest in collection of minerals, fossils, and associated items.
To promote their use in lapidary work.
To promote the study and classification of minerals, gemstones, and other items of such nature.
