Monongahela Rockhounds
Club History
The first meeting of the Monongahela Rock Hounds was held on December 1, 1967 at the Salvation Army Hall in Homestead:
- 17 people attended
- Dues were $2.00 a year and $.50 a month to enable them to "build up a small treasure".
- Club officers were:
- President - Paul E. Jamriska
- Vice President - Mr. John Seech
- 2nd Vice Pres. - Alice Gamble
- Treasurer - Mrs. Larson
- Secretary - Gizella Jamriska.
- The meetings were held on the first Friday of every month.
- Items of interest from these early meetings were often mentioned in the local newspaper.
